MONDO #3

(W/A) Ted McKeever

Y'know those kinds of days when your fuse is so short, you explode at the most mundane circumstance? Mondo doesn't have those days because EVERY day is that way for him, and in the third and final issue of this explosive 'Roid-Raging series, he's about to outdo even himself.

It all comes crashing to a head in this, the last issue of McKeever's muscle bound, poultry filled, Venice beach destroying monstrosity called Mondo. Truly at the height of his demented powers, McKeever's comics feel like great punk from the early 80's--dirty. RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!

BLACK KISS II #1

(W/A) Howard Chaykin

Sex, death, and the movies - what else really matters?
Nearly twenty five years ago, HOWARD CHAYKIN brought the 80s to a close, and comics to the brink, with his landmark erotic thriller, BLACK KISS. Now, after years of anticipation, he's back with issue one of BLACK KISS II, a six-part miniseries that tells the story behind that legendary story - like the original, in glorious black and white.
And really, now - does it have to be so dirty?

Filling the gaping hole of classy American erotica, Chaykin returns with his landmark series filled with desire, deceit and more ***jobs than you can shake a stick at. Love him or hate him, Chaykin remains one of the most unabashedly outspoken comic creators, constantly pushing the limits of what the medium is capable of handling. If you've only seen recent Chaykin, take a trip back to the days of AMERICAN FLAGG and prepare to have you socks blown off! You will never look at comics in the same light! RECOMMENDED BY PERRY!

UNDERWATER WELDER GN

(W/A) Jeff Lemire

As an underwater welder on an oilrig off the coast of Nova Scotia, Jack Joseph is used to the immense pressures of deep-sea work. Nothing, however, could prepare him for the pressures of impending fatherhood. As Jack dives deeper and deeper, he seems to pull further and further away from his young wife, and their unborn son. But then, something happens deep on the ocean floor: Jack has a strange and mind-bending encounter that will change the course of his life forever.

Having thrilled and astonished readers with his bizarre, flesh mutilating run on Animal Man, Lemire aims to keep that strange vibe running into his newest creator owned project. GIRL WITH THE NEGATIVELAND T-SHIRT

(W/A) Jason Young

This is a mini-comic that I made years ago that was only in print for a few months but I recently had a new batch made for your consumption!

As proof that I’m interested in doing things other than mildly entertaining autobiographical comics this is a heartwarming tale about two strangers whose paths cross during a snowstorm at a tiny little motel.

It was inspired by this motel I visited often during the years I used to trek up to Massachusetts every few weeks to see my girlfriend.

As stated in the introduction to the comic our relationship didn’t weather the distance but I’ve never lost that soft spot in my heart for the Lighthouse Inn in Silver Creek, NY.

VEGGIE DOG SATURN #1

(W/A) Jason Young

This is the first issue of my autobiographical comic series Veggie Dog Saturn. This one features heartbreak, garage sales and drunken bike riding. Printed on newsprint.

VEGGIE DOG SATURN #3

(W/A) Jason Young

Issue #3 of Veggie Dog Saturn! This issue features yours truly suffering an existential freakout which inspires me to vacation to Toronto for a week with friends. 30 plus pages of Canadian accents, naked octogenarians, and 12 hour bus rides! Printed on newsprint with a color cardstock cover and bonus Gasoline Alley parody comic on the back cover!

VEGGIE DOG SATURN #4

(W/A) Jason Young

Finally! Issue #4 of Veggie Dog Saturn is here! Unlike the single story previous issues this one contains a bunch of short stories from my childhood that may or may not have shaped me into who I am today.

VEGGIE DOG SATURN #5

(W/A) Jason Young

Like an old friend you wish would just stop visiting it’s here! Veggie Dog Saturn issue 5 is ready to be consumed! This one features 5 never before published autobiographical tales of hilarity and/or grossness written and drawn by me plus a story that was originally published in the wonderful anthology comic Not My Small Diary.

PUNK ROCK JESUS #1

(W/A) Sean Murhpy

The newest reality show hit has the unlikeliest celebrity of all in this new black and white miniseries from writer/artist Sean Murphy (JOE THE BARBARIAN, Off Road)!
J2, the TV series starring a clone of Jesus Christ, causes chaos across a near-future United States in PUNK ROCK JESUS, a new miniseries written and drawn by Sean Murphy, the acclaimed illustrator of JOE THE BARBARIAN and AMERICAN VAMPIRE: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.
J2 causes outrage and adulation. Religious zealots either love or hate the show, angry politicians worry about its influence on the nation, and members of the scientific community fear the implications of cloning a human being at all - let alone the Son of God. And what effect will this all have on Gwen, the young woman who is selected, through an American Idol-style process, to be the mother of the new Messiah?
All this leads to the hiring of Thomas McKael, the clone's bodyguard and a former IRA operative with a turbulent past who must protect the new Messiah - a baby who captivates the world, but grows up to become an angry teenager.

Sean Murphy draws amazing boots. I know this has nothing to do with the comic, but when you read it, look at the boots. Amazing, I tell you. Anyway, this is the long awaited return of Murphy as both writer and artist, a task he has not undertaken since his indie hit, OFF ROAD. Presented in stark black, white and ink splatter, Murphy tackles the always enjoyable subject of religion and its current implications in our instant techo-gratification reality show society. Just how long until things fly off the rails? Probably page 3, but we'll just have to wait and see... RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!!
