BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA #1

(W) Eric Powell (A) Brian Churilla

WHY WE LOVE IT: BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA is one of our favorite cult-classic films because it mashed together '80s action and supernatural fantasy movies with '70s kung-fu flicks. This is the first time any new BIG TROUBLE stories have been told, and we have the film's original directer, John Carpenter, working with Eric Powell (THE GOON) on the story. You can't beat that!
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: Eric Powell is a huge fan of BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, so the sense of humor and over-the-top action he brings to THE GOON will be all over this book. Plus, Brian Churilla's (THE SIXTH GUN) art on this perfectly captures the outrageous world of BIG TROUBLE.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Jack Burton, a macho, truck-driving adventurer, finds a stowaway hiding on his rig, "The Pork Chop Express", but that soon becomes the least of his troubles. He helped his best friend Wang save his fiancée from the clutches of a demon, but now the wedding has been invaded by more evil forces with one thing on their minds-revenge against Jack Burton!

One of the all time greatest things to ever be put on film returns in the form of a John Carpenter overseen, Eric Powell written comicbook with astounding art from Brian Churilla!! Picking up directly from the events of the movie, Jack Burton is once again drawn into a supernatural plot of deviously diabolical depths that threatens the happiness of his friend's lives once more!! I am beyond excited to see this universe continue (in any form) and with Eric Powell at the helm, you know it's gonna be goofy, violent, but above all--FUN!!

Now, superstar filmmaker Kevin Smith and actor/comedian Ralph Garman join forces with artist Ty Templeton (BATMAN '66) to bring these two iconic characters and their famous partners together again. Set in the continuity of that earlier team-up, Batman, The Green Hornet, Robin and Kato must go up against a very different General (formerly Colonel) Gumm. What crime could be so deadly as to force these rivals to put aside their differences and join forces again? And what surprise does Gumm have up his sticky sleeve? FINAL INCAL DLX ED HC

(W) Alejandro Jodorowsky  (A) Moebius, Ladronn

Jodorowsky and Mœbius' internationally bestselling Sci-Fi saga The Incal comes to its phenomenal finale! Visionary storyteller Jodorowsky returns to the epic mythology he created with the late Mœbius over 30 years ago. This volume concludes the spiritual space adventures of everyman, John DiFool, as the universe faces the threat of an all-devouring metallic virus. The limited & numbered book is presented in a slipcase and contains both the original, unfinished After the Incal drawn by Mœbius (1 volume), as well as the complete 3-volume series Final Incal illustrated by Eisner-winning artist Ladrönn (Cable, Hip Flask, Elephantmen).

For all those unfortunate people who have not seen the mind blowing, inspirational and transcendent documentary that is "Jodorowsky's Dune," I first off want to say, "FOOLS!!" quite loudly and then educate your 2nd dimension asses with what humanity was lucky enough to recieve after the project fell through--The Incal. Created by Moebius and Jodorowsky 1981, this series focuses on poor John DiFool, a class 'R' detective who is thrown into an adventure that bends time, space, consciousness and takes the reader to places beyond even the wildest acid trip imaginings. This volume, presented here for the first time ever in English, features the very last cycle of the comic saga with art the indomitable, LADRONN who pumps new life into the darkened city shafts of this desolate future universe of my wildest dreams.

CLIVE BARKER'S NIGHTBREED #1

(W) Clive Barker  (A) Piotr Kowalski

WHY WE LOVE IT: Comics are full of outcast characters, but this is an outcast story, Clive Barker-style. True to this modern horror master's other work, NIGHTBREED is full of horrifying creatures that captivated us in the cult film and live on in this new story. WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: Before FABLES, before ONCE UPON A TIME, Clive Barker created a secret town of monsters that live among us. Don't worry if you've never seen the film-Barker and writer Marc Andreyko (BATWOMAN, MANHUNTER) have crafted a story that all horror fans can enjoy. Add to the mix Piotr Kowalski's art (MARVEL KNIGHTS: HULK, SEX) and you can't miss this. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: The Nightbreed is a secret society of monsters and misfits that hide away from humans, but have been a part of this world since time immemorial. This series will explore both the past and the present of this clandestine tribe, unleashing new secrets and horrors as they fight to coexist with mankind.
