Wayward Studios takes over the shelves of our local/indy section with 13!! new comics from this determined duo from Renton, WA and Baltimore, MD! Emily R. Gillis and Crystal M. Robins met in college while pursuing degrees in graphic design. While they both had been working on comics since high school, it wasn't until after graduation when they had moved to opposite ends of the US that they decided to combine their powers to create the best comics they could come up with.

Since creating Wayward Studios, Em and Crystal have creating three ongoing series, four 24-hour comics, created two successfully crowdfunding campaigns, appeared at numerous conventions, spoken on panel about their work and comics as a whole, and helped to found the Washington, DC-based collective Square City Comics.
