NEW INDY COMIX!!

We've got a helping heap o' new weirdness from the desolate, far off lands of South Dakota courtesy of cartoonist Marc Wagner!! His previous zines, Subconscious Thoughts We Almost Lost Forever  and New Colors of Eyes and Leaves were great little pieces of insight into a strange young man's psyche and it looks like this time the scope plunges even deeper into the offbeat oddities of molecular science, celebrities, Dracula and most importantly--CATS!! (yes we love cat books here at Zanadu)

GAMMA

(W/A) Ulises Farinas (W) Erick Freitas

Dusty Keztchemal is a pathetic coward. He failed the entire planet, and now, the only way he can make a living is by getting punched in the face for money. But when a beautiful stranger wanders into his saloon looking for help, Dusty thinks he can conjure up the man he once was-the greatest monster trainer in the world!

I know nothing about this book. In fact, I only became aware of Ulises Farinas' work last week when the mind blowing Catalyst Comix dropped and at the top of the "OH SH*T" meter was this man's story about glam rock gangsters!! That's right, we're talking some Bowie shit here, people, and from the looks of this cover, we've only seen the tip of the psychedelic monster mound.

7 MILES A SECOND HC

(W) David Wojnarowicz  (A) James Romberger

Originally published as a comic book in 1996 by DC's Vertigo Comics, 7 Miles a Second was an instant critical success and has become a cult classic amongst fans of literary and art comics. Now fully restored and expanded, 7 Miles a Second blends the gritty naturalism of Lower East Side street life with hallucinatory, psychedelic images that takes perfect advantage of the comics medium.
