WONTON SOUP TP COLLECTED ED

(W/A) James Stokoe

James Stokoe's crazy space trucker cooking epic returns to print bigger and badder than ever before! Join Johnny Boyo and Deacon as they cruise the intergalactic superhighways in search of legendary ingredients and amazing adventure. Collects Wonton Soup volumes 1 and 2.

Now that Stokoe has hit it big drawing the Avengers and Godzilla, Oni Press is finally reprinting Stokoe's first book and my personal favorite, the absolutely insane WONTON SOUP!! Imagine an Iron Chef manga remixed through the lens of Cowboy Bebop, Paul Pope, Geoff Darrow and featuring a guest appearance by Brandon Graham himself (well, kinda) all injected directly into the bloodstream in a flash of psychedelic gradients and naughty parts!! (sooooo many naughty parts) This is truly a wonderful comic and I guarantee it will leave a warm, fuzzy feeling deep down inside...

SULLIVAN'S SLUGGERS HC

(W) Mark Andrew Smith (A) James Stokoe

Long past their former glory, the minor league sluggers get an invitation to play a baseball game in a cursed small town. After the 7th inning stretch, the sun goes down and the dysfunctional teammates find themselves fighting for their lives against a town of flesh-eating monsters! Now it's up to coach Casey Sullivan to help his team escape from being the next dish in the town's terrifying feeding frenzy. This edition of Sullivan's Sluggers comes in a slipcase, a print on the inside front cover, a baseball card sheet, danging ribbon boomkark, and a three page monster gate fold.

Along with his pal Kentaro, Ota makes a desperate gamble to save lives... and in the process begins an obsession with the King of the Monsters that lasts fifty years!

That's right, I'm takin two picks this week--deal with it. Arguably the coolest looking Godzilla comic ever drawn, James Stokoe, self confessed Godzilla nerd supreme, wrote and drew this epic tale of one man's 50 year battle with the king of all radiated monsters. Featuring more space alien, ancient god, mutated lizard/moth/whatever monsters than you can shake a stick at, this comic will melt your eyes like Space Godzilla's crystal beams, son!!

GODZILLA: HALF CENTURY WAR #4

(W/A) James Stokoe

New technologies and new recruits lead the AMF now, while Ota and Kentaro are stuck watching. But when a new threat comes to town from space, technology and young blood mean nothing. Will the grizzled vets be able to save the day? Don't miss this action packed issue, it'll have you seeing three Godzillas!

Comic book hermit and art giant, James Stokoe, channels his inner Moebius to bring you more crystals per page than any comic since the Aedena Cycle! Does even Godzilla stand a chance against the mysterious force of SPACE GODZIILLLAAAA (insert very long dramatic echo here)???!!!!!! My pick for best mini-series of the year from IDW, this book reads like a Godzilla freak's wet dream, intricately researched, meticulously detailed, and supercharged with fanboy fury!!
