Welcome to "the Blister" -- a bizarre other-world colonized by humans
sometime in the 22nd century, which quickly became a hotly-contested
source of fertile land and natural resources long ago exhausted on
Earth. In this new frontier, a rogue gunslinger and his companion wander
across a wilderness in the grips of a civil war, encountering
lawlessness, natives, and perversions of civilization in a world at the
crossroads between the past and the future. The fact that said
gunslinger is a bio-surgically modified silverback gorilla toting a pair
of enormous revolvers is neither here nor there.
Written by
Simon Spurrier (Marvel's X-MEN LEGACY, EXTERMINATION) and drawn by hot
new talent Jeff Stokely (FRAGGLE ROCK) and featuring a cover by Eisner
Award-winning artist Ramón Pérez (A TALE OF SAND, AvX: VS), SIX GUN
GORILLA is a pulpy mash-up of Western weirdness and lo-fi science
fiction unlike anything else on the stands!
Daisy Ogami holds the key to a dying future's salvation. Powerful interests will stop at nothing to obtain Daisy, but her android bodyguard will do anything to protect her . . . and the promise of a brighter day. Collects Lone Wolf 2100: Shadow on Saplings; Lone Wolf 2100: The Language of Chaos; and Lone Wolf 2100: Pattern Storm.
What could make one the GREATEST and most EPIC tales of betrayal and revenge ever put to not just paper, but almost any visual medium, better? CYBERPUNK!! (naturally) Released concurrently with the original Dark Horse run of Lone Wolf back in the early 2000s, I was initially very put off by the idea that a comic so perfect, so utterly completely well crafted, could be tainted by changing even one little element, that I refused to read it for years. Clearly I must have been on some shitty drugs when I made that decision cause holy crap, was I wrong! Kennedy and Velasco do an amazing job of paying homage to the original work while still keeping the reader guessing and creating an environment that feels as real as that of the Edo period the original creators worked so hard to convey. Neon, gritty alleyways, cybernetic ninjas--what's not to love? Cyberpunk is life--embrace it. RECOMMENDED BY CASEY!!
Years ago, the Killjoys fought against the tyrannical megacorporation Better Living Industries, costing them their lives, save for one-the mysterious Girl. Today, the followers of the original Killjoys languish in the Desert while BLI systematically strips citizens of their individuality. As the fight for freedom fades, it's left to the Girl to take up the mantle and bring down the fearsome BLI or else join the mindless ranks of Bat City!
When the skull of horror icon H.P. Lovecraft is stolen from his grave, a group of junkie misfits set out on a quest to retrieve it. Standing in their way are their enormous drug habits, belligerent punk rockers, Brazilian vampires, and the unspeakable horrors of Lovecraft's fiction seeping into reality.

The entire award-winning creative team is back to kick off a new epoch of the human and the super human. Get in on the ground floor of Astro City's next epic!
Astro City #1 Cvr A by Alex Ross
I am so very excited. There are some DC and Marvel superhero books that I love, but this superhero title is my favorite. Busiek's writing never misses. Some people that I've talked to are a little put off by the art, but if you read the book, there is no other art that would have worked with the stories being told. It's Golden Age perfection in a Silver Age book. Do yourself a favor and check this title out. Everyone's superhero soul could do with a cleansing scrub-down every once in awhile, this is the book that can get that done.

The latest offering from Joe's Comics continues with our intrepid investigator's feelings still trapped between the worlds of the living and the dead. There is also a variant cover by Bill Sienkiewicz - just to remind you that Straczynski is not the most difficult name to spell in comics.
